According to Egypt Oil & Gas Newspaper,

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the extension of the deadline of the international bid round for gold and associated minerals for two more months due to the current global situation of the coronavirus pandemic, a press release reported.

The ministry added that the closing time will be on September 15 at 12:00 pm, Cairo local time, in order to give more opportunity for bidders.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced on February 25 the launch of the first international bid round for gold mining in 2020.
